Setup in Seconds
GripRack is designed for tool-free, sub-30-second installation. Follow these steps for a secure, confident mount.
Ensure your vehicle's roof surface is clean, dry, and free of wax or debris in the mounting area. GripRack adheres best to smooth painted or glass surfaces. Avoid mounting over textured roof panels, sunroof trim, or antenna bases.
You will need: your GripRack suction base unit, the handlebar clamp rail assembly, and the wheel stabilization line. No tools required.
Place both suction base units on your vehicle roof, spaced to match your bike's wheelbase. The front unit should align beneath the handlebar area; the rear unit beneath the seat post. Press each cup firmly onto the surface.
Using the integrated hand pump lever on each base, pump until the built-in pressure gauge needle enters the green zone. This confirms a secure, airtight seal capable of holding your load at highway speeds.
Slide the aluminum clamp rail onto the front suction base mount and tighten the locking knob until snug. Position the two quick-release clamps to straddle your bike's handlebars.
Lift your bike upright and lower the handlebars into the clamp assembly. Close each quick-release clamp over the bars — they will auto-adjust to your handlebar diameter. Tighten to firm resistance; do not overtighten.
Loop the universal rubber seat strap around your saddle and attach to the rear suction base hook. Adjust tension until the bike sits vertical and stable. This prevents forward/backward movement.
Extend the retracting stabilization line from the front base and loop it around your front fork or wheel. Retract until taut. This eliminates lateral sway during transport.
Give the bike a firm lateral shake. Verify the pressure gauge is still in the green zone. If any movement is detected, re-check clamp tension and strap adjustment. You are ready to drive.
To remove, reverse the steps above. Release the wheel stabilization line and seat strap first. Open the handlebar clamps and lift the bike clear. To release suction, pull the red release tab on each base unit. The cup will release immediately.
Store suction cups away from direct sunlight when not in use. Clean with a damp cloth before next use to maintain optimal seal integrity.
